A still unidentified Chinese woman fell from the seventh floor of the Hong Kong International Airport on Thursday. Airport paramedics performed first aid procedures on her.
She fell from the departure hall of Terminal 1 to the outside part of arrival hall A on the fifth floor.
“The woman was unconscious and was sent to Princess Margaret Hospital for medical treatment. Officers could not find any notes on her. Initial investigations showed the case was not suspicious,” said a police spokesman.
It is still unclear if she tried to commit suicide. Her identity is also unknown as she did not have identity documents with her. She is believed to be in her 40s, has long hair, and was wearing a brown top and black jeans. She had a red suitcase with her.
Surveillance cameras are being reviewed. Meanwhile, police appealed to the public for witnesses or anyone with information to contact her family.
